  • Store and access inspection reports
  • Communicate with inspectors and contractors
  • Schedule appointments
  • Pay for inspections and related services through secure third-party processors

HomeInspections.com itself does not provide inspection services or contractor work. Inspectors and contractors are independent businesses and are not employees, agents, or representatives of HomeInspections.com.

 

2. Eligibility

To use the Services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Use the Services for lawful purposes
  • Agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy

 

3. User Accounts

Users may need to create an account to access certain features. You agree to:

  • Keep your login credentials secure

4. Marketplace Role & No Guarantees

HomeInspections.com is a marketplace platform. We facilitate connections between:

We do not:

  • Guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by inspectors or contractors
  • Guarantee outcomes, results, or workmanship
  • Control or oversee the performance of inspectors or contractors
  • Provide insurance, bonding, or warranties for services

You agree that all services are performed solely by the independent professionals you choose.

 

5. Payments

Payments for inspections and related services are processed through trusted third-party payment providers such as Stripe.

  • HomeInspections.com may collect payment on behalf of inspectors and contractors and remit funds to them.
  • We do not store your full payment information.
  • Prices, fees, and charges may vary by provider.

All sales are final unless the inspector or contractor offers their own refund policy.

 

6. Limited Vetting of Providers

HomeInspections.com performs limited vetting, such as:

  • Identity verification
  • Basic account validation

We do not conduct:

  • Background checks
  • Licensing audits
  • Skill verification
  • Insurance validation

Users are responsible for verifying qualifications, licensing, insurance, and suitability of any inspector or contractor.

 

7. Reviews and Ratings

Users may leave reviews and ratings.

By posting content, you agree:

  • You will provide truthful, unbiased feedback
  • You will not post defamatory, harmful, or misleading content
  • HomeInspections.com may remove reviews at its discretion

You grant us a perpetual, worldwide license to use, display, and publish your reviews.

 

8. Disputes Between Users

HomeInspections.com is not responsible for disputes between:

  • Inspectors
  • Contractors
  • Any other platform users

You agree that:

  • All disputes relating to services provided are strictly between the parties involved
  • HomeInspections.com may choose to assist but is not obligated to mediate or resolve disputes

 

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Engage in illegal activity
  • Upload viruses, malware, or harmful content
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others
  • Scrape, crawl, copy, or reverse engineer the platform
  • Spam other users
  • Attempt to bypass the marketplace or payment systems
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the Services

Violation may result in termination of your account.

 

10. Intellectual Property

HomeInspections.com owns all:

  • Software
  • Code
  • Branding
  • Logos
  • Graphics
  • Platform design
  • Features and functionality

Users retain ownership of content they upload (e.g., photos, inspection reports) but grant HomeInspections.com a non-exclusive license to store, transmit, display, and process such content to operate the platform.

 

11. Mobile App

The HomeInspections mobile app includes the same functionality as the website.

By downloading or using the app, you agree to:

  • App store terms (Apple App Store, Google Play)
  • Granting the app necessary permissions (camera, photos, location, notifications)

 

12. Suspension and Termination

We may, at our discretion:

  • Suspend or terminate accounts
  • Limit or block access to the Services
  • Remove or disable content

Reasons may include violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any action that harms other users or the platform.

 

13. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.”

We do not guarantee:

  • Accuracy or completeness of inspection reports
  • Quality or safety of contractor services
  • Availability of the platform at all times
  • That communication will be uninterrupted or error-free

You assume all risk when using the Services.

 

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law:

HomeInspections.com is not liable for:

  • Damages arising from services performed by inspectors or contractors
  • Loss of data or content
  • Personal injury, property damage, or financial loss
  • Unauthorized access to your account
  • Errors, outages, or service interruptions

In no event will HomeInspections.com’s total liability exceed the amount you paid through the platform in the past twelve (12) months.

 

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HomeInspections.com and its officers, employees, and partners from claims arising out of:

  • Your use of the Services
  • Your interactions with inspectors or contractors
  • Your violation of these Terms

 

16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Any disputes must be resolved:
